Richard was born and raised in Brantford, Ontario. He was raised by his mother and father in a Jamaican, and Christian home. The important values that they instilled in him helped to discipline him in following his dreams and ambitions. Richard claims that he fell in love with barbering because when he was young, his father used to cut his hair, and he disliked it because it would hurt him and there was nothing that stood out from anyone else’s hairstyle. He wanted to become a barber so that he could make people look and feel good and stand out from the norm.
